I did really well on Thanksgiving. No meat at all, and very little dairy and eggs.
…However, tonight my roommate and I devoured a medium pepperoni and pineapple pizza from Domino’s. I won’t post any pictures, I don’t want to scar my young audience.

In either the second or third drawer of my dresser, I have about 65 Chick-fil-A meal coupons (and now I have to go find a new hiding spot..). For the past couple months, since making the decision to try giving up meat, I have looked for ways to still use these coupons. Usually I get a side salad and fruit cup. Today, I got a chargrilled chicken sandwich without chicken. That’s right. It consisted of a wheat bun, lettuce, lots of tomato, and some zesty sauce. It was ridiculously delicious. Ridiculously. I honestly didn’t even miss the chicken. Now, I know that I basically ate air-on-a-bun, but it satisfied the craving that I had for my old Chick-fil-ways.
I think the main reason I’ve kept up with this mostly vegan/always vegetarian diet, is because I like the new way it’s caused me to look at life. So often, I didn’t think. I didn’t think about most of the food I put in my mouth, the food I ordered, the food I bought. Where did it come from? Is my money going to a company that is hurting or respecting our world/environment/animals? How is it affecting me?
Recently, I’ve started to also think about time. Where is my time going to? Is it being used, or is it being wasted? As cheese as it sounds, I want to make choices that lead me to being a better person, friend, daughter, and God-follower. This lead to making the choice to delete Facebook.
Like your daily trip to Starbucks, every choice we make starts to add up somehow.
Maybe I should stop thinking for awhile,

The only thing better than the fact that VeganMania actually exists, is that their mascot is a Fairy Cupcake!
